10.5 Employees with Disabilities

In 2024, the total number of employees at IGU was 1.428. The distribution of employees by gender is presented below.

In accordance with Article 30 of the Labor Law No. 4857 of the Republic of Türkiye, which requires public institutions to employ persons with disabilities at a rate of at least 3%, IGU operates in full compliance with this regulation. In line with its “Accessible and Barrier-Free University” principle, the university continues its efforts to foster an inclusive and equitable working environment. As a result of ongoing initiatives to promote the employment of individuals with disabilities, the number of staff members with disabilities at IGU has increased over time — rising from 2 employees in 2023 to 3 employees in 2024.
