13.1.2 Climate Action: FWCI (Field-Weighted Citation Impact)

IGU also tracks the international scientific impact of climate action research using the FWCI (Field-Weighted Citation Impact) indicator. The FWCI value reveals the impact of publications based on their respective citation averages.

As of 2024, some of the studies published under SDG 13 have FWCI values comparable to the global average. This demonstrates that the university's climate change and sustainability research is highly visible within the scientific community and has a significant international impact.
