8.6 IGU Activities on decent work and economic growth

IGU strengthens its contributions in this area by organizing various academic, sectoral, and social events throughout the year in line with SDG 8, “Decent Work and Economic Growth.”

Our university runs programs that bring together different disciplines and stakeholders to facilitate access to quality employment for students and graduates, develop their professional skills, encourage a culture of entrepreneurship and innovation, support equal opportunities in employment, and contribute to sustainable economic growth.

These events cover a wide range of topics, including career planning, gaining industry experience, implementing innovative ideas, increasing social inclusion, and developing skills for the future workforce.

IGU provides its students with not only theoretical knowledge but also practical experience and industry connections through the panels, seminars, technical tours, workshops, conferences, and alumni meetings it organizes, thereby enhancing the quality of the workforce at the local and global levels and making concrete contributions to SDG 8.
