4.2 Proportion of graduates with teaching qualification

The provision of quality education at the early childhood and primary education levels depends largely on the professional and pedagogical competencies of teachers working in these fields. Through teacher education programs, universities contribute to the sustainability of education systems by equipping individuals not only with academic knowledge but also with classroom management skills, pedagogical competencies, and an inclusive approach to education.

Recognizing this responsibility, Istanbul Gelisim University (IGU) offers undergraduate and graduate programs related to the teaching profession and provides its graduates with pedagogical training and qualifications that enable them to pursue teaching opportunities at the primary education level.

Pedagogical Formation
 
The Pedagogical Formation Certificate Program is an educational program designed to prepare graduates from different undergraduate fields for the teaching profession. The program offered at IGU equips graduates with essential pedagogical competencies in areas such as classroom management, educational psychology, measurement and evaluation, and teaching methods, providing them with teaching qualifications recognized by the Ministry of National Education.
 
Through this approach, IGU supports a multidisciplinary model of teacher education by providing pathways into the teaching profession not only for graduates of education-related programs but also for students from a wide range of disciplines, from social sciences to engineering.
