Rector Prof. Dr. Bahri Şahin met with candidate students at the "University Preference Fair in Istanbul"!

The results of the “UI GreenMetric World University Rankings 2024” has been announced. Istanbul Gelisim University (IGU), which attracts attention with its environmental sustainability studies, has achieved another significant success by continuing its rise in previous years. IGU, whichfirst entered the GreenMetric ranking in 2022, ranked 677th in the world ranking with a total score of 6070 with an increase of 435 points this year. IGU, which ranks 70th among all universities in Türkiye, was ranked 15th among foundation universities in Türkiye.

At Istanbul Gelisim University, Türkiye's most internationally accredited university, a meeting was held between December 10-12 with AQAS officials, a member of the International Independent Accreditation Agency and the European Quality Assurance Association, within the scope of discussing and renewing the international accreditation processes of the departments of the Faculty of Economics, Administrative and Social Sciences.

The US-based "Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology" (ABET) Committee, a non-profit and independent non-governmental organization that evaluates engineering faculties, visited Istanbul Gelisim University between 15-19 November 2024 as part of its efforts to renew the international accreditations of academic programs.

Istanbul Gelisim University offers young filmmakers around the world an important opportunity to express themselves with the International Sustainable Short Film Festival, which will be organized for the first time in cooperation with the Directorate of Public Relations and Promotion and the Faculty of Fine Arts. The festival, which will take place between 27-29 November 2024, aims to emphasize environmental awareness and social responsibility through cinema by focusing on the sustainable development goals of the United Nations.

Young leaders who came together under the leadership of Afyonkarahisar Kendin Yap (DIY) Association within the scope of the project named Youth Organizational Leadership (YOL) supported by the European Union, visited Istanbul Gelisim University (IGU) Rector Prof. Bahri Sahin in his office.

Ghazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk was commemorated at IGU on the 86th anniversary. Commemoration program was carried out with the contributions of IGU Rector Prof. Bahri Şahin, Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences Asst. Prof. Abdullah Yüksel Barut, Research Author Dr. Onur Uzer. The program started with the opening speech of IGU Rector Prof. Bahri Şahin, then continued with Yüksel Barut's and Dr. Onur Uzer's speeches. In the program, the folk songs, poems and zeibek dance that Ghazi Atatürk loved were also included.
