Istanbul Gelisim University produces knowledge, projects and practices that can guide policymakers and relevant institutions and organizations in the development and dissemination of clean energy and energy efficiency technologies. The University's sustainability vision has been integrated into its education, research and campus management policies, supporting efforts to promote environmentally friendly energy solutions.

Istanbul Gelisim University contributes to policy development processes by:

  • Developing innovative and sustainable methods for waste management through recycling-oriented campus practices,
  • Providing students with opportunities to develop competencies in clean energy technologies, energy efficiency and climate change through sustainability-themed academic programs and projects,
  • Carrying out physical infrastructure investments and awareness-raising activities to increase the use of renewable energy,
  • Supporting the dissemination of low-carbon technologies through research projects and sectoral collaborations.
These activities enable the University to contribute to policies and strategies for clean energy technologies not only on its own campus but also through cooperation with public institutions, the private sector and civil society organizations.
